불이 나자 감시요원 3명이 외부 잠금장치를 열지 않은 채 복도에 비치된 소화기를 사용, 문밖에서 진화 작업을 벌였다. 그러나 소화기 분말은 발화 지점으로 추정되는 304호실 내 TV까지 미치지 못했고 이내 불길은 305호로 번졌다. 5분 뒤 소방대원들이 도착했고 2층 상황실에 보관돼 있던 시건장치 열쇠를 이용해 인명 구조작업이 시작됐으나, 불길은 이미 위험 수위를 넘어선 뒤였다. 소방 당국은 소방차 27대와 소방관 등 120여명을 투입해 1시간여만에 불길을 잡았으나, 내부 곳곳에 쇠창살이 설치돼 있어 조기 진화와 인명 구조에 많은 애를 먹었다. | 2007-02-12 오전 10:10:00 |  |

소화기를 쏘아도 제대로 작동이 안되였다고 하지 않나?분명히 소화기가 작동 불량이었을 것이다, 분명히 소화기를 사용하였다고 하나 화재 진압에 실패 하였다고 하지 않나?,소한 민국 내 소화기가 제대로 작동 되는 경우가 거진 없다, 전부 충약(뼁끼칠 만하여서 “소화기 점검 및 충약자 인적 사항”이라는 마치 관공서에서 부친 것처럼 부쳐서 전국적으로 소화기를망쳐 놓는 충약업자에게 소화기를 마껴서 엉망으로 벌써 만들어 놓은 소방서 아저씨들의 무책임 및 한국 소방 검정 공사의 직무 유기(충약업자를 단속 해야하는 업무-새 소화기 검정 업무 뿐만 아니라, 새로 수리, 가스 충진, 소화기 분해 조립 등에 대한 검정 업무를 아예 안하고 있는 직무 유기)등등으로 말미암아 전국적으로,소화기 관리가 제일 엉망이고, 소화기를 사용할 줄도 모르니, 이런 화재의 경우, 초기 진압이 어렵지 않겠나,이 조선 댄장들아,,,, 너희는 국제적인 개 망신을 당해야 한다,,,,
